Gilchrist Kalachand

Gilchrist Kalachand is a devoted servant of the Lord with a deep passion for ministering to international students, equipping them for spiritual growth, and guiding them in discipleship. With years of experience in ministry, he has witnessed firsthand how God’s faithfulness transforms lives, even in the face of economic pressures and policy challenges.
As a ministry leader, Gilchrist is committed to mobilizing believers for the Great Commission, fostering meaningful connections, and providing spiritual guidance to those navigating new cultures and experiences. His heart for outreach and discipleship drives him to create welcoming spaces where students and communities can encounter Christ, grow in their faith, and become ambassadors for the Gospel.
Currently, Gilchrist serves with International Students, Inc. (ISI) in South Carolina, continuing a ministry he began five years ago in Canada. He serves alongside his wife, Dr. Sarojini, and their son, Jeremy, as they humbly seek to fulfill God’s Great Commission together.
Before engaging in international student ministry, Gilchrist served with several organizations as a missionary staff member, teacher, and ministry leader. His ministry experience includes roles with American Evangelistic Association, Safe Water International Ministries, and continued involvement with The Gideons International and St. Thomas Evangelical Church across India, Nepal, Canada, and the USA.
