Legacy Giving

Planned and Legacy Giving

Legacy giving allows you to make a lasting investment in the work God is doing through International Students, Inc. By thoughtfully planning your charitable gifts, you can support future ministry, provide for your loved ones, and often receive significant tax advantages.

Include ISI in Your Estate Plans

One of the easiest ways to create a lasting legacy is by naming International Students, Inc. as a beneficiary in your will, living trust, retirement account, or other financial assets. Many donors choose to designate retirement accounts because these gifts can often be transferred to a ministry without the income taxes that individuals would otherwise pay.

Donate Appreciated Investments or Property

If you own assets that have increased in value—such as stocks, mutual funds, bonds, or real estate—you may be able to give them directly to ISI. This type of gift can qualify for a charitable tax deduction based on the asset’s current market value while potentially eliminating capital gains taxes that would result from selling the asset first.

Additional Ways to Give

Depending on your financial goals, you may also wish to explore other charitable giving strategies, including:

  • Qualified Charitable Distributions from an IRA
  • Donor-Advised Funds
  • Gifts connected with the sale of a business
  • Charitable Gift Annuities
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Life insurance gifts

Because every person’s financial situation is different, we encourage you to seek advice from your financial, tax, or legal professional to determine the giving option that best aligns with your goals. We partner with New Horizons Foundation for planned giving. If you’d like to learn more about supporting the ministry of International Students, Inc. through a planned gift, we’d be happy to answer your questions and provide additional information.
