My name is Jacob, and God has given me and my wife a passion for loving others cross-culturally.  When we were students, my wife, Alison, spent a year studying abroad in Spain and Germany.  After graduating and getting married, we moved to China for two years.  We have experienced what it’s like to be a foreigner in another culture.  We know the difficulties, but we also know how impactful it is to be welcomed and loved by the people of that culture. We want the students studying here in America to feel welcomed, loved, and cared for. We want them to know Christ’s love through the friendship and hospitality we extend to them as we help them navigate language, culture, food, and anything else they may need.
