Aquila Kim was born and raised in a non-Christian family in the countryside near Gwangju, Korea. He attended a college in Gwangju and met Christ as His Lord & Savior in 1981 in his junior year in college.  He got married to Priscilla in 1988. Prior to moving to the USA, Aquila and Priscilla had worked as campus staff in a mission organization over 15 years. By God’s abrupt intervention, they moved to LA as seminary student missionaries in 2007. They started their ministry for visiting scholars at UCLA, and Aquila joined ISI in September 2008. They have been doing this ministry together, but Priscilla joined ISI as campus staff in May 2020. They have two daughters and one son, all grown up.

Priscilla Kim was born and raised in a Christian family in the countryside near Gwangju, Korea. She started attending a bible study fellowship after her high school and was discipled in a mission organization. She got married to Aquila in 1988 and joined campus ministry staff in the same mission organization. Prior to moving to the USA, Priscilla and Aquila worked in the organization over 15 years. Because of God’s abrupt guidance, they moved to LA in 2007. They started a ministry for visiting scholars at UCLA from September 2008. Priscilla just joined ISI as campus staff in May 2020. They have two daughters and a son, all grown up.
