Erik was born in Slovakia and grew up in an orphanage. God graciously saved him after he heard a message from missionaries when he was 18 years old. In the years that followed, he studied at a Bible College in Hungary, became a chef in London, worked as a pastoral assistant in Slovakia, taught English in China, and became a photographer in Phoenix, AZ.  

Leah has had an interest in all things international from a young age. In 2008, she studied as an exchange student in the Netherlands. After that experience, she couldn’t get enough of international living! After graduating from Northern Arizona University, she moved to Bratislava, Slovakia, where she met her husband, Erik. 

Currently, Leah and Erik live in Phoenix, AZ with their two children. The whole family is looking forward to showing Christ’s love to international students through hospitality and friendship.
