Richard and Wendy Herring began their ministry in 1980 at the Alliance Tabernacle in Brooklyn, NY.  From 1983 to 2016, they ministered in Thailand with the Christian and Missionary Alliance sharing the Good News with Thai Buddhists, assisting Thai churches, teaching at Northeastern Bible College, teaching at Bangkok Bible College and Seminary, serving in mission leadership as the Thailand field director and then for 10 years as the regional director for the Asia-Pacific Region, overseeing ministries in 10 Asian nations.   One of his greatest joys in overseas ministry was teaching God’s Word in Thailand and seeing most students continue in faithful service to the Lord, all over the country and beyond.

Since 2017 Richard has been serving on staff with ISI at the University of Delaware.  He is also a part-time tutor at the university’s English Language Institute.  Although Wendy does not have an official position with ISI she assists with the ministry.

Richard has a B.S. in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego, NY, an M.Div. from the Alliance Theological Seminary, Nyack, NY and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Biblical Seminary, Columbia, SC.  He and Wendy will celebrate 45 years of marriage in June 2024 and are blessed with two adult daughters, both born in Bangkok, Thailand.
