You can help change the world one student at a time.

Our culturally sensitive and concerned staff and volunteers are reaching out to thousands of the more than 1.3 million international students who study in the United States each year. These students, separated from family and friends, often feel lonely and isolated and are unsure about how to relate to America’s culture and its people. Sadly, many international students are never invited into an American home. Many miss the opportunity to have an American friend.

President/CEO Transition Fund

ISI’s President, Dr. Douglas Shaw, recently retired after 18 years of faithful service leading the ministry. ISI’s Board of Trustees unanimously selected Dr. Seng Tan to serve as ISI’s next president and Chief Executive Officer. A succession plan for a smooth transition for Dr. Shaw and Dr. Tan has been implemented, along with a transition budget of $288,500 needed by September 30, 2020, to cover costs and meet budgeted needs of the succession plan.

ISI National Ministry Fund

It is estimated that by the year 2025, 50% of all world leaders will have been international students. Currently, there are over 1.3 million international students studying in the US, and over 4.5 million studying worldwide today. We believe if we can share Christ's love with even more of these future leaders, we can positively impact the world, and strategically advance the calling of the Great Commission.
