Ron hails from the Philadelphia area.  He studied engineering at Carnegie-Mellon University and Duke University.  He worked as an environmental engineer in North Carolina where he met his wife Betsy.  Betsy is an native North Carolinian and educator with degrees from UNC-Greensboro and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  Together we have served in Central Asia doing community development work for 23 years.  We have 3 children—Daniel and Faith are in college and Joy is in middle school.
